My Aunt and Grandma in Louisiana sent my daughter Abigail the cutest christmas dress, and of course they wanted pictures so these are what i whipped up in a little mini session with my little princess.

a few weeks ago I was finally able to photograph my Daughter Abigail and her little (half) sister Aleyna. I bought them little matching dresses and made their headbands, set up the back ground using a white sheet with white icicle lights hung over top of it. I am way to excited about how they turned out!

My daughter is absolutely beautiful so there is always a chance for some good photos of her, well today we went outside to play and the lighting just seemed perfect. So as Abigail would say "we played pictures". I got a ton of cute photos of her, but these are by far my favorite.

5 Generation Family Portraits

My Great Grandpa is 93 years old; and about 2.5 years ago he became a Great-Great Grandpa, twice about a year apart, to Abigail and Aiyden, giving us a family of 5 generations. We had already done 1 5 generation picture with me and my daughter Abigail. And a few months ago we decided it was time to update it to include my cousin Leslie and her son Aiyden. And thats exactly what we did. We had a very hard time deciding on a location, until I had the idea to just take the photographs in front of my Great Grandpa's house; because we all grew up running in and out of that old white house, and it really made it personal that way. So here are our 5 generations :]

My cousin Daniel and his wife have 2 beautiful little girls, but unfortunately they do not live near by. So when they made a trip to Asheboro I jumped at the chance to photograph their little girls. We had a blast, and they were quite excited about the end results.

I checked out some studio lights from school and for fun me and my amazing daughter had ourselves a little photoshoot. We taped a sheet up on the wall for a background and had an amazing time taking pictures and laughing. Here are my favorites.

A few months ago for a late birthday present my awesome boyfriend bought me a Holga 120 camera. And naturally being the "photo nerd" (as he says) i couldn't wait to get film in it and take pictures. After Abigail's 2nd birthday party we were outside playing, and i managed to grab a few shots of Abigail and her Uncle Zac. I absolutely love them. The lighting was so great that evening, and I think these photos turned out awesome.

on march 27th, my daughter Abigail Rayne turned 2 years old. I used that as a good opportunity to break out my flash, light stand and umbrella to catch a few shots. This photo is by far one of my favorites, it really makes me want that piece of cake she is eating.

for wedding class, we had to do a 3/4 profile bridal shot, and i snagged one of the first years, miss Emily to shoot this shot. I think it turned out pretty good.

This past week the school took a trip to NYC for a photo expo, on our trip a group of us went up to Coney Island, and we had an assigment to do a self portrait and this is where mine was taken, by the wonderful Renee.

For the Wedding class I'm taking, we had to do engagement portraits. I have recently reunited with my childhood friend Megan. And she and her boyfriend Ethan agreed to model for me for the engagement portraits that we had to shoot. So they drove to asheboro and I took them down to the pisgah covered bridge and photographed them. They're such a cute couple. The very last one is the one I ended up turning in for my final shot.

Those were the best days of our lives.

This morning i spent about 2 hours scanning in film from a 4 year old disposable camera. The camera actually belonged to my childhood friend, Megan. But it was found at my best friend Katie's house, so i brought it in to school during summer semester and had it processed, and today was the only day I've had the opportunity to scan it in. The images looks scratchy and grainy, i didn't edit anything, i liked them the way they were scanned in. I'm so excited about the pictures. There was once a time, when the three of us were interpretable.

For my professional portriture class, 2 of our assignments were to do business portraits for a both a man and a woman. My male model was Roy a first year student at RCC, and my female model was my mom. The photo in the middle is a shot of my set, featuring my brother, Zac.

Thursday last week i got the pleasure of picking up my friend Shell and her twin girls Aryia Eden and Aydan Dawn, 7 months old. The shoot was tons of fun, and they were so much fun to work with. I was able to get some really great shots of them together and seperately, although Aryia wasn't loving the camera as much as Aydan, i was still able to get some adorable pictures.

We were given a list of things to chose from for our projects for a multimedia class, one of them being the effects of the economy on a small business. And thats the one i chose, although I am not putting the audio up, I would like to share a few pictures that I took in this awesome little shop I found on Elm street. The store is called Terra Blue its a coffee shop/pagen boutique sort of thing, with everything you need to make your own jewlery. I wasn't sure what i was in for when i walked into the little store, but i ended up getting some great shots of things that are offered in there, but sadly no images of the owner or any people. That is one thing that I wish I would have gotten. Thats only a few, because this uploader thing was being weird and wouldn't let me upload more >.<

a few days ago i was editing some scanned film, 2 of my most favorite pictures. One of my daughter sleeping, and my great grandpa on his 92nd birthday. Both were taken with a Mamiya 645 on TMAX 100 film.

My cousin had a little boy in April by the name of Aiyden Jamel Walker, and he is the sweetest little boy. Well last Thursday I had the pleasure of photographing him in the 2nd year portrait studio. I am very excited about all of them. He is such a camera hog. I drove to Burlington to pick them up and bring them to Asheboro just so I could photograph him. He did so good for about 45 minutes then it was nap time. But I did get some really good shots. And I do believe that this is my most favorite one. I edited this a little bit, the background was supposed to be white but somehow turned out pink-ish, so I fixed that and did a little minor touch ups to his skin. We were asked to back up and take a picture of our set if we used lighting equipment, so I backed up and took this picture. It is set up exactly as the photo with the baby, minus the baby.

For a multimedia class I'm taking we were made to make a blog to display at least 2 posts a week, 1 post must inlcude an image from our concentration and the 2nd can be anything I want it to be. I mainly like to photography babies and maternity, so there will probably be alot of that up here. So for my post for this week I want to share one of my all time favorite pictures. It's a little out of focus, but I still love it. This is of my daughter Abigail Rayne, she is now 16 months old. But in this photo she was about a month and half. She was sleeping on my grandma at an event we went to in april 2008 for kids with Autism.
